Budget M4 build for Hajin
Call of Duty’s FOB guide gives about 5,000 DMZ Cash as an example price for a base M4. The DMZ Gunsmith opens at DMZ level 10. Extract the M4 Weapon Manual to unlock the base purchase, or bring back a looted M4 to equip that copy. Check the price shown in the FOB before buying.
Suggested starting kit: a stock M4 with its iron sights, a plate carrier, a backpack and a Med Kit. Run it without paid attachments while you learn which upgrade would help. Use the Ready Up Free Loadout when you cannot afford to replace the M4 and your equipment.
Choose one M4 attachment for your first upgrade
Call of Duty documents both parts on the Inner Circuit M4 build. Its DMZ FOB guide says compatible attachments unlocked through weapon progression or Multiplayer are available in DMZ. Check your M4’s Gunsmith for availability and the cost of the part and its slot before committing DMZ Cash.
These are alternative first upgrades. Test your stock M4 in the firing range, then choose the part that addresses the problem you noticed.
- SZ Prima-4 Dot Optic: consider the dot sight if your target is hard to distinguish through the iron sights.
- FTAC Dominion Muzzle: consider this compensator if you can see the target clearly but struggle to keep short bursts on it. Call of Duty describes it as reducing both vertical and horizontal recoil.
M4 Hurricane for a close-range role
Call of Duty’s launch weapons guide describes M4 Hurricane as a higher-capacity 5.7×28 mm conversion that prevents separate barrel and magazine attachments. The FOB guide places Apex unlocks at the end of the weapon’s level track. Check the current price in your DMZ Gunsmith before bringing the conversion into Hajin.
Suggested use: try the Hurricane for corridors and tight objectives where quick follow-up shots are useful. Keep the stock rifle available for a mixed-terrain run, or pair the conversion with a squadmate who can cover open approaches.
Check the DMZ patch notes before spending more
Call of Duty documents separate weapon tuning for Multiplayer and DMZ. Check the DMZ portion of the patch notes when judging a build, especially after a balance update.
At the firing range, compare the base rifle with your first attachment at the distances you expect on your route. Bring the cheaper setup first if your stash has no spare weapon.
