MW4 DMZ Bounties and Dog Tags Guide

Find Wanted players, buy bounty intel, extract a rival Dog Tag for DMZ Cash and learn how to clear your own bounty.

How Wanted status works in MW4 DMZ

Eliminating a rival player places a bounty on your Operator and records it on their Dog Tag. The launch FOB guide says four rival Operator kills across deployments make your Operator Wanted. Nearby players receive an alert when a Wanted Operator approaches.

The bounty can grow as that Operator takes down more players. The FOB leaderboard shows the highest bounties and the hunters who have collected them. Infinity Ward fixed an issue that could reset bounty progress between deployments on November 2.

How to claim a bounty in Hajin

Find a Bounty Station on the Tac-Map and open it to see the Wanted Operators in your deployment. You can spend DMZ Cash from your FOB bank on intel for a target. The Tac-Map shows an approximate search area that updates faster at higher Wanted levels.

Eliminate the target and take their Dog Tag to an active extraction. The payout is credited to your bank after you get out. Check your nearest exit before picking a fight so you have a route if other squads close in.

How to clear a bounty and tell the tags apart

Use a Bounty Station during a deployment to pay off your bounty with DMZ Cash. The official guide also lists dying and failing to extract or losing your Dog Tag when another player takes it out.

A player Dog Tag comes from a rival Operator and can pay a PvP bounty. A Lieutenant Dog Tag Case comes from a PvE Lieutenant and counts toward Boss Board progress. Check the item label and the objective before leaving the area.
