MW4 DMZ 3D Printer Recipes: Craft Gear at the FOB

Unlock the 3D Printer, extract gear Recipes from Hajin, and check the starter materials for a Med Kit, 2-Plate Armor Vest and Medium Backpack.

How do you unlock and use 3D Printer Recipes?

The FOB 3D Printer opens at DMZ player level 2. Earn more Recipes through DMZ progression and Orders or by finding one in Hajin and extracting with it. A looted Recipe is consumed on successful exfil and the crafting option appears at the Printer.

Highlight the item in the Printer menu to see the required materials and what you already own. Print to your Operator for immediate use or send the item to the Stash to save it for a later deployment.

Starter Recipe costs for healing, armor and storage

The official launch FOB guide lists these costs. Check the current in-game recipe before farming, especially after a patch. Resources such as Chemicals and Synthetics are tallied separately from named Ingredients such as Binding Catalyst.

  • Bandage: 15 Synthetics and 15 Chemicals.
  • Med Kit: 30 Chemicals, 1 Binding Catalyst and 5 Biomaterials.
  • 2-Plate Armor Vest: 50 Synthetics and 5 Reactive Metals.
  • Medium Backpack: 50 Synthetics and 5 Rigid Synthetics.

Where Recipes have appeared in Hajin

Published All Things How runs found a Large Scavenger Backpack recipe in a first aid kit at a North Korean Wilderness fire station and a 2-Plate Ballistic Gel Vest recipe in a filing cabinet at Heavenly Luck Casino. These are documented finds. Check similar containers when they fit your route and expect their contents to vary.

Check the full item name on the card. The Ballistic Gel Vest is a separate recipe from the starter 2-Plate Armor Vest. If you find a recipe you still need, leave space to carry it out and compare the active exits before opening another building.

Track what you need for the next run

Pin the Recipe or its missing Ingredients in the Printer menu. Tracked Ingredients show a pin when you encounter them in Hajin. Some named Ingredients also have an in-game hint for where to look. Use it to choose a location before deploying.

For a recovery kit, choose the piece of gear you are missing most often and track its material requirements. Once you can replace your basics, compare the Stash capacity or other FOB upgrades and read how many prints the upgrade requires.
