What is X01 and when does it open?
X01 is an enclosed weapons facility announced for Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. Call of Duty scheduled Season 1 for November 5, 2026 at 9 p.m. Pacific, or November 6 at 05:00 UTC. The X01 briefing covers access from DMZ Hajin. Warzone Battle Royale has a separate version of Hajin.
Where is the X01 entrance in Hajin?
Call of Duty places the access point near North Korea’s northern border on the DMZ Hajin map. Incredilags’ pre-season footage shows a northwestern approach on the Tac-Map at 2:37 and a locked inner doorway with a keypad at 4:55. Westie also shows the outer approach at 1:14.
Use the videos to recognize the approach. They do not confirm the live entrance marker or how to get past the inner door. The keypad alone does not establish that you need a code or key.
How do you open the X01 Deep Vault?
The November 4 DMZ trailer gives squads a goal: reach the Vault, secure what is inside and extract. The briefing says scouting the full facility will take multiple deployments; it does not give a required run count. Call of Duty also says Ghost will guide new DMZ Orders through the facility.
The season announcement lists cargo bays, underground labs and weapons production lines. The trailer shows two landmarks: a multilevel hall marked GRANIT ARMAMENTS and a flooded corridor crossed by red beams. The shots do not show a continuous route to the Vault or establish which items or actions open it.
How does extraction work inside X01?
Call of Duty says X01 can close extraction points and require extra steps before you can leave. If a marked exit closes, recheck the current objective and available exfil markers before committing to another floor. The briefing does not name a dependable exit or show how to activate one.
For The Captain’s Threat Briefing, the confirmed objective is to recover helmet sections and successfully extract with them. A squadmate’s successful extraction with a Commander part gives the full squad event progress.
Which new bosses are announced for Season 1?
Call of Duty named Knuckle (Tae-Hyun) and The Wrench (Chol-Min) as new Lieutenants. It also announced The Captain and a patrolling Wheelson as Commanders.
These names and event objectives come from the announcement. Spawn locations, drop rates and the live event schedule still need in-game confirmation.
What are the Threat Briefing and Resupply Run objectives?
The Battle Tank Threat Briefing takes place in Hajin. The announcement calls for recovering one tank part per deployment, with rewards improving as you bring back more parts across runs.
Resupply Run sends players to look for requested items at points of interest and trade them for gear such as Self Revives or 3-Plate Carriers. Check the event panel for availability and the current item requirements before setting out.
Prepare at the FOB
Review your active DMZ Orders and assign a squadmate to check the exit while the others handle the objective. If the team runs low on armor or healing, reconsider how far to push before you commit to the next floor.
The announced FOB changes include a Battle Pass and Store Station next to the Survival Kit Station. Call of Duty specifies Season 1 BlackCell ownership for the additional Vendor weapons and gear. Check the live station for the items available to you.
