How do you recover an MIA Operator?
Open the Operators station at the Forward Operating Base (FOB), select the missing Operator, and pay the displayed recovery cost from your DMZ Cash bank. The cost depends on their earned Trait Points. Recovery returns the Operator with their Traits and leaves their lost equipment behind, so equip them again before deploying.
Use another available Active Duty Operator if you need to earn more cash first. You can also dismiss the MIA Operator and recruit a replacement. Check the recovery price before giving up an Operator you have invested in.
What do you need for Operator Prestige?
Reach Onyx III and earn 18 Trait Points on the specific Active Duty Operator you want to Prestige. Earned points count even if you have not spent them. An Operator marked MIA must be recovered before they can Prestige. Your account level and overall DMZ player level track separately.
The official FOB guide lists the costs below. Equip the required gear, put the ingredients in the backpack, and check the confirmation screen for what will be consumed. The number shown for each weapon refers to its attachment slots.
- Prestige 1: 200,000 DMZ Cash, two weapons with three attachment slots each, a plate carrier, a backpack and four printer ingredients. The first Prestige requires Rare rarity or higher for those items.
- Prestige 2: 300,000 DMZ Cash, two weapons with four attachment slots each, an Epic plate carrier, an Epic backpack and four Epic printer ingredients.
- Prestige 3 and later: 500,000 DMZ Cash, two weapons with four attachment slots each, a Legendary plate carrier, a Legendary backpack and four Legendary printer ingredients.
What do you keep after Prestige?
Prestige spends the cash and equipment and resets the Operator’s regular Traits. Move spare gear you want to keep into the Stash before confirming. The Operator receives a random Permanent Prestige Trait and can earn regular Trait Points again.
An Operator can hold three Permanent Prestige Traits. From Prestige 4 onward, you can swap in the newly offered Trait or decline it and keep the current three.
