MW4 DMZ Weapon Manuals: Hajin Loot and Gunsmith Unlocks

Learn where Weapon Manuals have dropped in Hajin, how to carry one through exfil, and how it unlocks a base weapon at the level 10 Gunsmith.

How do you use a Weapon Manual in MW4 DMZ?

Loot the Weapon Manual for the gun you want and extract with it in your inventory. At the FOB, the manual unlocks repeat purchases of that base weapon with DMZ Cash. The Gunsmith station itself opens at DMZ player level 10.

Look for the Weapon Manual item type on the loot card. A gun picked up in Hajin gives you that individual copy on successful extraction. A Weapon Blueprint gives access to a preset build through the Blueprints menu. The manual unlock is the one to check if you want to buy the base gun from scratch.

Where to look for Weapon Manuals in Hajin

The examples below come from published gameplay observations. Use the containers as places to check when they fit your route. The available evidence gives no fixed spawn or drop rate for a specific manual.

  • Hajin passenger train: All Things How found the Sang 9mm manual in a blue duffel bag aboard the train in the Cheongun Outskirts. Its route is visible on the Tac-Map. Imjin Farmland is one place to approach the tracks.
  • Chang-san Air Base barracks: The same guide recorded the Type 73 manual in a blue duffel bag. Check the current threat and your exit before crossing the base to inspect the barracks.
  • Heavenly Luck Casino parking garage: A separate All Things How run found a PPSh-41 manual in the Vault Armory Weapons Locker. Bring the matching key and plan for the High threat area before going below the gaming floor.

Extract with the manual and verify the unlock

Keep the manual until your extraction is complete. If you have a free Secure slot, use it as a fallback in case the run fails. The unlock still requires a successful exfil with the manual. When you find one, make extraction the next objective and check which exits are active on your Tac-Map.

At the FOB, open the Gunsmith and select Buy New Weapon. Find the gun in its category and check whether it can be purchased and what it currently costs. The manual unlocks the base gun. Compatible attachments still have their own progression, slot and purchase requirements.
